Ken is an economist with a focus on environmental economics, project analysis and public administration.
Ken’s extensive government experience includes more than 20 years at senior level in both the Commonwealth and ACT governments. His work there, largely based in economic analysis, saw him undertaking research and offering advice on policy initiatives, projects and government programs. In these roles Ken focused on areas such as environment, industry, transport and natural resources.
For 10 years, Ken maintained a senior management role in Commonwealth State financial relations, including program development, evaluation of major capital projects, inter-governmental negotiations and administration of payments.
In the Commonwealth and ACT Governments, Ken held positions in financial management as well as the administration of government programs and operations. He also gained management consulting experience within government, using techniques such as business process analysis and activity-based costing.
In the private sector, Ken has been involved in business consulting, financial administration and the development of business software applications.
At Graham A Brown & Associates, Ken makes a valued contribution in the areas of environmental impact assessment, economic and social assessments, intergovernmental issues and the project management of environmental and multi-disciplinary consulting tasks. Ken has also developed environmental management systems for clients through the documentation of environmental laws and procedures, such as eComP (Electronic Compliance Assessment Program).
